Thomas Disselkamp has worked for 3M Company in St. Paul, Minnesota, for more than 30 years. Presently, he serves as a product development specialist and oversees product teams, engineering drawings, and system documentation; he also advises on the creation of electrical and optical systems, as well as their individual components. Thomas Disselkamp ensures that every product complies with electrical safety (UL and interntional standards), ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), and Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE) standards.
Throughout his career, Tom Disselkamp has garnered numerous accolades. The recipient of a 3M Engineering Award for his web inspection system, he also obtained the company's Engineering Achievement Award for an optical/electronic process monitoring system. Among Thomas Allen Disselkamp's other accolades is a Quality Achievement Award for the production of an optical magnetic tape defect detection system that was sold to the U.S. Department of Defense. Prior to joining 3M, Tom Disselkamp attended the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis. While earning his bachelor's in electrical engineering, he placed on the dean’s list. Additionally, he completed graduate courses in subjects ranging from magnetic materials to solid state physics.
Most recently, Tom Disselkamp has become an owner/partner of a small business that provides consulting, design and installation services for interior decorating of private residences and commercial office spaces. Decorating Den Interiors by JT Inc formed mid-2015 and his business partner and now wife Julie has tremendous talent for creating awesome interior spaces for their clients. They offer an extremely wide range of product from over one hundred suppliers in the areas of wall art and accessories, flooring, window treatments, paint, furniture and lighting.
